Alison creates gardens with structure and simplicity that are softened with informal planting and closely tailored to her client's requirements.

 

Alison initially trained as a Theatre Designer at Wimbledon School of Art and worked for many years in theatre, film and television in the Art Department. She subsequently gained a Diploma in Garden Design at the English Garden School based in the Chelsea Physic Garden, the RHS Certificate in Horticulture and a City and Guilds Diploma in Plants and Planting Design at Capel Manor College. She also has an MA (Distinction) in Garden History from The University of Bristol.​

 

Articles by Alison have been published in the Sunday Times and the Garden Design Journal. She has written a three year on-line garden design course for the Inchbald School of Garden Design. This provides students with an interactive learning forum, personal tutors and course material at the touch of a button.

 

In July 2014 Alison's Hampshire Garden was featured in The English Garden magazine.
