Alison creates gardens with structure and simplicity that are softened with informal planting and closely tailored to her client's requirements.

 

Alison initially trained as a Theatre Designer at Wimbledon School of Art and worked for many years in theatre, film and television in the Art Department. She subsequently gained a Diploma in Garden Design at the English Garden School based in the Chelsea Physic Garden, the RHS Certificate in Horticulture and a City and Guilds Diploma in Plants and Planting Design at Capel Manor College. She also has an MA (Distinction) in Garden History from The University of Bristol.

 

Articles by Alison have been published in the Sunday Times and the Garden Design Journal. She has written a three year on-line garden design course for the Inchbald School of Garden Design. This provides students with an interactive learning forum, personal tutors and course material at the touch of a button.

 

In July 2014 Alison's Hampshire Garden was featured in The English Garden magazine.
