Kelly's Creek - vibrant colours
Striking and elegantKelly’s Creek
Designed by Alison Wear and Miranda Melville
This garden was inspired by the Australian outback, Aboriginal art and the ‘Ned Kelly’ series of paintings by Sidney Nolan. The sinuous layers of coloured gravels evoke the idea of a dried up creek, and the poles, painted in hot vibrant colours, provide a vertical element and the sense of a forest. The sparse architectural planting and the deep colour of the palisade fencing conjure up the space and drama of the Australian outback.
